LASS MONTHLY MEETING SCHEDULE FOR 2008

The LASS scheduling for 2007 seemed to work fine and we had no problems making changes so we will stay with the same general scheduling procedures for 2008. The schedule is basically driven by the phases of the moon so unless otherwise noted, meetings will be on FRIDAY NIGHTS nearest the new moon phase. MEETINGS BEGIN ABOUT 30 MINUTES BEFORE DUSK AND NORMALLY END AROUND 11:30PM. In the event weather seems to be a limiting factor to observing on the regularily scheduled night, we will plan to meet and have an inside program.

There are several state wide star parties that are usually held in the fall so there may be some adjustment in the LASS schedule to accommodate any of our members desiring to attend one of these events.
Other things that may change our schedule are trips to Ft Griffin etc.
Additionally, LASS will be making plans to host and participate in several public star parties specifically targeted toward getting more folks interested in astronomy.
